Takeaways 11/18/15

Talking about the different strategies helped me to keep them straight.  I will say that sometimes with these lesson plans it can be overwhelming, but I see where it would have been very beneficial if I would have known this before I started teaching.  In learning these different techniques it has been very interesting and I have even tried a couple on my student within the last couple of weeks.  The one that seemed to be the most beneficial was a KWL Chart that actually made them think and spend some time reflecting on their past information that they might have learned.  I think with the KWL Chart and vocabulary front-loading has been the most beneficial.

    I find myself keeping the strategies right can be a problem. Learning the different strategies allows us to help make our students more successful with a better understanding.

    I love the KWL Chart. Students seem to really enjoy this also no matter the age
